It has been quite since I have blogged. The only reason I am doing so this morning, on the 4th of July, while it's sunny outside is because of my nagging sister in law. You know who you are!! KIM!!!! Ruth and Darryl arrived on the 26th of June. We are very thankful for the sunshine that she stuffed in her suitcase and almost got charge and over weight charge. I think we have only three day of yucky weather. We have taken them to our favorite spots: Pasagshak, Buskin River, Barnov Museum, the touch tank (which is always a big hit) and we even forced Darryl and Matthew to climb a small hill full of thicket and scratchy twigs, oh and a bog, to take some pictures. Not to forget Fossil Beach and Surfers beach where we saw humpback and eagles. One of the nicest parts of Kodiak right now is all the wild flowers. Ruth and I decided that we like the Chocolate Lily. One evening we swung by Safeway and found a wildflowers of Alaska book and the funny thing about the Chocolate Lily is it is also referred to and the Outhouse Lily because is smells really bad, but because it is so pretty we will overlook the smelly smell! I am attaching photos for KIM's curiosity. Enjoy!!!
