First Day of School!!!

It is hard to believe that Patrick is now in High School. Where did the time go? Matthew is a Junior and Patrick a Freshman. They were both very excited about going to school this morning. The good news is they have 1st period together so this should make it easier on them both. I just wish Mark was home to see them off this morning!

It was a cold and rainy day!

Well we went out in it any way. We had heard that the silver were running on the Buskin and wanted to get our share. Needless to say, they weren't biting today for us. So we decided to try the Russian and see if we would have any luck down there. No such luck, with the exception to Patrick catching the rare and mysterious Alaskan stick fish!!!! He was quite excited when he was reeling it in. A little dispappointed to see what he actually caught!! It was funny. Also, when we got down to the Russian, the boys were walking on this island in the middle of the stream and came across some rather large bear paw prints in the sand. At that point we all got a little nervous to be down there because of all the tall grass, Kris and I were constantly looking while the boys fished.

Ryan looks on as Patrick brings it to shore! What a rare sight that is!!!

Fishing in Alaska!

The boys had a blast yesterday fishing! Matthew caught the most, three big ones! We are heading out again tomorrow to try our luck at using flies to catch some silvers. We, of course, have to be bear aware out there. It is that time of year. So I will carry my Styre for protection. Below is a great picture of Matthew filleting one of his fish! Before you know it, we will a be pro's at it! Patrick and I did end up bringing in a fish or two, but we had snagged them and unless they are caught in the mouth we have to throw them back!!! So we were kind of bummed out that we couldn't bring ours home with us.
Below is one of the ones Patrick had to throw back, but Kris got a picture to prove he actually brought one in. LOL

Not too fond of this picture of me, but I wanted show that I can do it! LOL

Crazy Time Changes

I have a new clock. It is pretty much self explanatory. I was getting way to confused there for a few days. This will keep me centered! LOL
